Lighting Specification Sales Associate

Thea Enterprises is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Lighting Specification Sales Associate with 1-2 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the lighting industry and a strong desire to provide excellent service and innovative lighting solutions to our clients. As a Lighting Specification Sales Associate, you will work with architects, designers, contractors, and other professionals to develop and present lighting solutions that meet the specific needs of each project.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Client Engagement:
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with architects, designers, contractors, and other key stakeholders in the lighting specification process.
- Support sales efforts by identifying new opportunities and helping manage existing accounts.
- Provide expert advice on lighting products and solutions, helping clients make informed decisions.
- Prepare and deliver product presentations to clients and stakeholders.
Lighting Product Knowledge:
- Develop a solid understanding of the company’s lighting products and solutions, including their features, benefits, and applications.
- Assist clients in choosing the right lighting solutions based on their project needs, budgets, and specifications.
- Keep up to date with the latest lighting trends, products, and technologies.
Technical Support and Consultation:
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients during the specification process, ensuring that products meet project requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of detailed lighting specifications, quotes, and proposals for clients.
- Work closely with senior sales team members and project managers to ensure that specifications and orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with the internal team to ensure the proper fulfillment of lighting specifications and customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to product delivery, order discrepancies, or client concerns.
Sales Administration:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client communications, and project statuses in the CRM system.
- Assist in tracking sales metrics and performance, contributing to the achievement of sales targets and team goals.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in lighting specification sales or a related field (preferred).
- Experience or interest in the lighting, architectural, or interior design industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with lighting products, specifications, controls and industry terminology is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Ability to learn new product information quickly and stay up to date on industry trends.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle client inquiries and challenges.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, on-site.
- Occasional travel to sites, factories, meetings, and industry events.
