Job Title: Regional Sales Manager, Southeast

ALW is seeking an experienced and highly qualified lighting professional in the southeast U.S. to join our Sales team. This is a fully remote position based in the southeast U.S., tasked with growing our presence there. The ideal candidate will exemplify a strong focus on leveraging their extensive specifier relationships to generate business. The main responsibility for this role is to write and manage specifications with our agency partners. We are growing! ALW has experienced excellent continuous growth and, as a result, we are expanding our sales team. This position will report to the Vice President of Sales.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include…
  • Meet or exceed Regional Sales Budgets while maintaining a detailed pipeline of business and providing accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly sales forecasts
  • Meet regularly with ALW's sales agents to establish rapport, strong communication, and relationships
  • Conduct independent and joint calls with specifiers, GCs, end users, and distributors
  • Evaluate Agent performance, motivate and train sales personnel
  • Actively engage in promoting the ALW Brand and product awareness throughout the territory on an everyday basis
  • Participate in industry events and networking
  • Serve as a 'voice' of the factory, addressing customer needs from sales to service to field troubleshooting
  • Attend trade shows, schedule, and participate in product launches to keep clients informed about ALW product offerings and latest developments
  • Identify territory trends and customer needs
  • Cross lighting schedules from competitor products to ALW products.
  • Interpret project reflective ceiling plans (RCPs), drawings, lighting schedules, and takeoffs.

 

Your Experience & Qualifications Include…
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Lighting Sales and/or Lighting Design-related field
  • Proven ability to manage a detailed sales pipeline utilizing CRM software. Experience with SalesForce is a plus.
  • Membership in industry networking groups, such as (list some)
  • Prior experience in managing sales territories and conducting joint calls with specifiers, GCs, end users, and distributors
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed Regional Sales Budgets
  • Experience in evaluating Agent Performance, motivating and training sales personnel, and hiring new agents when necessary
  • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external customers at all levels
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment

Compensation

Varies based on factors including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Includes salary and sales incentive plan.

 

Physical Demands

Must have the ability to work in a standard office setting utilizing standard office tools, including a computer. Should also have adequate visual acuity to examine lighting samples and read both printed materials and computer screens. Additionally, must have the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The position requires mobility and travel to various locations within assigned territory, necessitating the use of different transportation modes such as driving, flying, or other means.
