New York Sales Manager, Full-time
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lighting Professional to join our team at Stickbulb. As the New York Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships with Lighting Designers, Architects, and Interior Designers in the New York Metropolitan area.
Key responsibilities include identifying and capitalizing on new sales opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, hosting engaging presentations and events, and building strategies and relationships to consistently grow beyond our monthly sales targets. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, technical knowledge of our products, and a proven track record in lighting industry sales management.

Stickbulb, is a NYC-based B-corp that specializes in merging the latest lighting technology with locally salvaged and responsibly sourced wood. Stickbulb was co-founded in 2012 by Russell Greenberg and Christopher Beardsley as a way to combine their mutual love of architecture, modular systems, and sustainable manufacturing. Born from a pile of scrap wood, the original objective of Stickbulb was to “build with light,” which has since been fulfilled in collaborations with brands like Google, Blue Bottle, and Erewhon as well as private commissions for hotels, offices, and residences across the globe. Stickbulb products range from small desk lamps to room-filling custom installations
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain strong relationships with lighting designers, architects, and interior designers in the New York City Metropolitan area
- Generate new sales leads
- Give product presentations on a weekly basis
- Host prospective clients in our Long Island City, NYC Showroom/Studio for private dinners, industry events, etc.
- Meet monthly sales targets
- Provide technical feedback from experiences in the field
- Stay in close communication with Director of business development and Sales Operations Manager
- Meticulously and regularly update and maintain CRM system in Salesforce
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the lighting industry
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Proven track record in the lighting industry sales
- Established and respected in the NYC Lighting Industry
- Comfortable conducting product presentations to prospective clients
- Ability to work out of our NYC Studio
- Familiarity with CRM platforms like Salesforces is a plus
- Self-motivated, organized, and well-developed communication skills
- Passionate about environmental sustainability
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary range $70k - $130k with quarterly commissions
- Additional performance-based incentives, and bonuses
