Junior Lighting Designer: Boston, Massachusetts

The Lighting Design Studio at BR+A is growing. Opportunities are available for a designer motivated by and passionate about lighting. BR+A is a worldwide leader in healthcare design and higher education environments and our lighting studio has been expanding into broader markets. Our team is extremely diverse with specialties in sustainable architecture, daylighting, construction administration, interior design, and lighting controls.
BR+A is seeking applicants for a Junior Lighting Designer in our Boston headquarters. The applicant should be able to perform well both independently with proper direction and supervision as well as part of the project team.
Duties:

Lighting Layouts in Revit;

AGI or similar illuminance/luminance calculation software;

Follow and maintain the lighting departments standards (Revit modeling, AGI, fixture families, LPD);

Meeting minutes and document organization;

Coordinate with project team members including project team leader, electrical department, and other team members both internally and outside the organization.
Position requirements:

Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in lighting or lighting related field;

Proficiency with AGI32, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite (including InDesign), Excel, Word, Acrobat and/or Bluebeam;

Experience with Rhino, 3D Max, Sketchup, Photometric Tools box and/or creating Revit families is a plus;

Excellent Organizational and Communication skills;
