North American Marketing Manager: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania or remote

Location – Pittsburgh, PA (Ideal), Remote (for the right candidate)



  • Guide the direction and implementation of a variety of marketing initiatives with a main focus on brand enhancement and growth, sales team education and market development

  • Tell stories that generate excitement around our brand and mission in North America

  • Build successful relationships with our network of sales partners, supporting them to deliver our brand and represent our products.

  • Apply your experience and talent to develop, mentor, support, and inspire your team to achieve objectives, deliver a superior level of service and ensure they are the entrepreneurial force behind our global brand.


Specific key outcomes:

  1. Develop, implement and own the marketing strategy, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration.

  1. Lead delivery of the WE-EF global brand and product strategy in North American, ensuring all communications are on brand according to brand guidelines and style guide.

  2. Create a marketing toolset that enables our regional sales manager and sales rep partners to differentiate we-ef in a crowded marketplace.



  • Lead by example, support and motivate our broader team in a drive for excellence.

  • Contribute to the management and direction of the business.

  • Understand, promote and work within all company policies.

  • Work with the leadership team to drive key Annual Plan initiatives and projects as either an Interested Party, a Team member or Stakeholder.

  • Support the business to achieve each year’s fiscal goals including Sales and Margin maximisation, Expense Management and to exceed budgeted EBIT.

  • Build strong relationships with Sales Partners, ensuring their teams are conversant with our products and can deliver accurate brand and product representation.

  • Provide functional support internally and externally, to maximise technical assistance and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Manage all marketing and sales collateral development (newsletters, advertising, promotional material).

  • Represent we-ef North America to the global marketing team, ensuring alignment between activities and North American market requirements and we-ef global campaigns and initiatives.

  • Develop informative online brand and product training for internal and external customers.

  • Facilitate the on-time and cost-effective launch of new products & services into the North American marketplace; develop, plan and implement Customer events and roadshows to support key launches.

  • Digital marketing – lead the planning and execution of creative digital marketing initiatives and multitouch marketing campaigns, that boost brand awareness and sales growth.

  • Create and effectively manage the Marketing budget.

  • Website – overall responsibility for the accuracy and effectiveness of the North American website, which is a critical tool for our specifiers and other customers.

  • Ensure specification sheets align with North American specifier needs.

  • Create pricing strategies for products appropriate to market opportunity.



  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in marketing, communication, or design.

  • Supportive ‘hands-on’ leader, able to harness individual talents, and inspire a clear sense of direction.

  • Excellent communication skills - able to engage and work with people from diverse backgrounds across multiple teams.

  • Able to think strategically, seek continuous improvement, and contribute at a senior level.

  • Strong ability to solve problems, offer solutions and make decisions.

  • Proven presentation talents.

  • Able to think creatively and innovatively.

  • Excellent attention to detail and uncompromising approach to quality.

  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with a result focus.

  • Intermediate to advanced IT skills - strong MS Office skills, familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems and Adobe graphic and photographic programmes.



  • Significant prior experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within the lighting industry.

  • Strong technical product aptitude, ideally of lighting, electrical and associated control systems.

  • Digital marketing experience.


Travel requirements:

  • Monthly opportunities to travel to trade shows throughout North America.

  • Overseas trips once or twice a year.
