Sales Development Specialist: Remote

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Sales, this remote position will have the opportunity to learn the company from every angle. Comprehensive product and sales training will be provided. This individual will help maintain existing customer relations and develop rapport and new business with existing and new clients. The focus will be on direct sales efforts to acquire major opportunities.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities listed below once the sales training process is completed (timeframe TBD).   • Focuses on identifying and developing major client opportunities in assigned markets.

  • Seeks and finds new opportunities to increase sales growth from existing and new customers.

  • Works with the sales and quotes team to deliver quotations, sales opportunities, demos, purchase orders and follow up through the entire sales process to finalize job and 100% customer satisfaction.

  • Provides project management and stays involved with all facets of the job to maintain customer relationships and ongoing sales.

  • Assists in field photography database and helps/assists Optec’s PR/media relations team with support materials and information for project briefs, case studies, website data and sales collateral.

  • Attends and participates in sales meetings, presentations, and trade shows.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required (College Graduate: Business Administration, Finance or Marketing is preferred).

  • Driven, energetic and willing/able to learn from a team of professional lighting experts.

  • Prefer 2 years sales work experience (inside or outside), but not mandatory (will train).

  • Ability to quickly learn sales, competitors’ product cross reference and manufacturing processes.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Great communication and people skills.

  • Passionate about the company they work for and the products they represent.

  • Willing to work hard. Eager to become a top earner.

  • Certain travel may be required in the USA.

 

Working Conditions

The working environment is clean and well lit. This individual will have their own workstation or cubicle space and are equipped with a telephone, headset, and computer. Most of the time will be spent sitting, typing, talking with potential customers, and looking at a computer screen.
