Job Description:

 The National Account Manager is responsible for increasing our national account business with retail chains, focusing on grocery accounts. This will be done in close cooperation with management and the rest of the North American sales team. You will be responsible for finding ways to engage new potential customers and follow up on our current leads. Territory will be defined based on your location and in close communication with the rest of our sales team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Grow existing national account customer base
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers
  • Achieve sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Regular reporting on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products to Director of Sales
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to grow and develop all aspects of the business.
  • 70% Travel
  • Attend annual trade shows
  • Seek out project opportunities and manage them through a CRM system as an active pipeline

 

The Ideal Candidate Has/Is:

  • Open-minded attitude. Someone that is comfortable working independently and does not feel restricted by structure and processes
  • Previous sales experience in the national account lighting industry
  • Highly self-motivated, energetic, and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • The ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Strong network of relationships with National Accounts, retail architects and National Account Distributors
  • Experience with lighting calculation programs like AGI, making light plans and doing take offs on drawings a definite plus
