Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and visionary Director of Sales to service and profitably grow topline revenue in our North America Commercial/Industrial Distribution Sales channel. This dynamic person will lead a team of Regional Sales Managers (RSM’s) as well as manage an assigned regional territory and special accounts and report directly to the CEO. The Director and RSM’s, will promote and sell Fulham products through a national network of manufacturer representatives, electrical wholesalers, and specialty lighting distributors. This role will work from their home office and travel extensively as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strengthen, preserve and service the channel’s core businesses
  • Develop and profitably grow new sales and profit margins in the channel
  • Manage performance of Regional Sales Manager team, agents, and distributor accounts
  • Make regular sales calls, conduct product training, and provide account management
  • Support new product launches, communications, and trainings
  • Market research - provide recommendations for new products and suggestions for improvement
  • Prepare and submit accurate sales and product forecasts from agents and distributors
  • Maintain client and prospect information using CRM software (Zendesk)
  • Represent Fulham at industry events and conferences

Requirements

  • Have existing key manufacturer representatives and distributor relationships with the ability to build new relationships
  • Data driven – ability to analyze data and turn into actions. Proficient with data analytics and use of CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills (virtual/in-person)
  • Ability to travel within region and work remotely from their home office
  • Technical industry knowledge preferred (lighting and/or electrical)
  • Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years experience in lighting, electrical, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, CRM (Zendesk)
