AVAILABLE POSITION
This career opportunity is for a full time, Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Boulder, CO. We are currently working in a hybrid mode, with a mixture of in-office and work-from-home.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage electrical project teams and attend project meetings
- Perform NEC demand/load calculations, short circuit calculations, lighting calculations (AGI software knowledge desired), and voltage drop calculations
- Generate one-line diagrams and electrical details
- Perform complete power design for building electrical systems and outdoor public spaces including code research, equipment power connections, panel board circuit layout and loading, and controls
- Write and edit project construction specifications
- Review shop drawings, equipment submittals, perform site observations, and punch lists
- Coordinate on site with electrical contractor
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor of Science in Architectural or Electrical Engineering or other related engineering degree
- Minimum of 5-years experience engineering electrical systems for buildings
- Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously
- Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
- Creative thinking and problem solving
- Good communication skills - written and verbal
- Strong background in AutoCAD, Revit, ComCheck, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Willing and able to self-learn new software
