Location: Work from anywhere

Compensation:

  • $65K - $90K base salary, commensurate with experience,
  • lucrative performance bonus and commission plan

Reports to VP Sales & Marketing, Distribution

Company Description:

Our client is a fast-growing, young, lighting manufacturer, built by a team that is passionate about off-grid solar and LED lighting products. This manufacturer is based in the San Francisco Bay area and has global business operations. The company has already built a rep network covering 40+ states, Mexico, and Central America. Their extensive LED lighting catalog includes streetlights, area lights, wall packs, and more, both solar-powered and on-grid-powered.

Job Overview:

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified sales executive in the Electrical Distribution channel. Our client is seeking an energetic, highly motivated sales professional who strives for consistent growth and builds long lasting loyal relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and meet sales quotas
  • Increase bottom line sales
  • Grow market share
  • Manage, train & travel with sales representatives (expect 3 weeks of travel per month)
  • Set up and attend industry trade shows
  • Extensive knowledge of the product line
  • Call on key distributors, contractors, designers/specifiers and national accounts
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for the territories
  • Review and report on sales activities; make recommendations to VP, Distribution
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time
  • This position can be based anywhere in the Western or Central U.S., and requires extensive travel

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years sales experience in the lighting industry or PV equipment industry
  • Minimum three years technical sales experience
  • Minimum three years experience selling through electrical distributors
  • Minimum three years experience managing sales reps
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial lighting and the electrical industry
  • Excellent communication, writing and phone skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
